Yesterday and today, unknown senders distributed phishing emails in the name of our company, to email addresses collected from websites, mostly using the sender address @makemeclear.com, @clinicamirafoz.pt.
The subject of the phishing email is:
"Domain megújítás - a számlát a megrendeléskezelés állította ki a kifizetéshez"
"Emlékeztető: Várjuk a domain fizetési díját"
The link in the email leads to a fake OTP Simplepay page, where if you enter your bank card details, they will be stolen. Please do not, under any circumstances, enter your bank card details. If you have already done so, report it to your bank immediately.
The phishing email is written in noticeably incorrect Hungarian and, in many cases, was not sent to the contact email address provided to our company. The sender is also not our company’s official email address (mediacenter@mediacenter.hu).
All such signs should raise suspicion!
IMPORTANT!
Our company NEVER sends a direct Simplepay link in any of its pro forma invoice emails. In every pro forma invoice email we send, we refer to our payment initiation page under https://mediacenter.hu, not to the OTP Simplepay page!
